Bauhan Publisher in Books Magazines Shopping Directory

Since 1959 Bauhan Publishing has had a special place in the literary landscape, using a commitment to craftsmanship as it focuses on New England regional books in the areas of history, art, nature studies, and poetry. Making its home in New Hampshire’s beautiful Monadnock Region, Bauhan Publishing has worked with a number of prominent writers, including poet May Sarton, humorist Newton F. Tolman, Harvard professor John Coolidge, and Time Magazine correspondent, James Wilde. Despite the passing of William L. Bauhan in March 2006, the family is committed to keeping his legacy going and has appointed Ian Aldrich, a former editorial consultant with the company and a veteran magazine editor, as director. Under Ian’s watch, the company is continuing its dedication to producing books that speak to the New England way of life.
